Thanks for your replies.
I am trying to really control my diet and cutting down on carbs bit by bit. I have noticed that since I stopped drinking alcahol on 1st January (and I was a really heavy drinker of Scotch) my BG has really shot up and basically stayed there.
I thought at one stage I had "cracked" it when for about 3 days my BG was between 7.0 and 8.5 but it has followed the same pattern. Some near normal BG then back to high blood sugars and this is without any change in diet??
It is getting to the Wife, as her mother had type 2 with "normal" BG,certainly a lot lower than mine, and then all of a sudden BANG! full kidney failure without too much warning and the obvious consequences
And my wife had to inform her at the time that she had 4 days. :-( I just do not know what on earth to do, especially as I now have to wait until my GP returns from leave!
Although I could insist on seeing another GP but I do not want to cause problems.
I just wish that my DNS would listen to me. I have been saying for quite a while that I may be better off on a bolus/basal regime although I would certainly prefer only 1 or 2 injections a day!! To top it off...I had to ask the nurse for my yearly bloods as they seem to have "forgotten" this year.
