So it's nearly 2 weeks since I started and I plan to weigh myself and measure Sunday to see how week 2 went. I find it quite hard as I get bored with the food. Is it terrible to have a treat?
Ive lost another 2lb this week so that's 4lb in totalhope it continues

Pinch of salt
1 egg
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder

Or
1 square 90% chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp pecans
Melt the butter in a bowl, add remaining ingredients and divide into 2 mugs and nuke for 1 minute per mug.
When are you going to start testing? When you are full blown T2? You are fortunate to be only in the pre-diabetic range (42). Please don't waste this opportunity of avoiding T2 for the sake if saving a few quid a month.I don't really test my blood as it almost always reads the same no matter what I do so I don't do it often as they cost a load
No idea. Don't carb count. Just eat lchf.enjoy! What's the carbs In this ? X

You are on the right track and loosing weight so well done. If you are on a budget testing can be expensive but as you did it in the previous year at least you know what you can eat so thats good but just try to vary it a bit so you don't get bored look at the recipes on the forum or as already said the thread " What have you eaten today"Ive lost another 2lb this week so that's 4lb in totalhope it continues
No it's ok as I only been eating foods that I know are ok from a year previous of testing
If you are low carbing and 'prediabetic' you don't really need to test much . I only test first thing in the morning as that's the one level I have no control over. I'm thinking I'll maybe start testing every second day as my morning levels have been good for weeks now.No it's ok as I only been eating foods that I know are ok from a year previous of testing
