Levemir Insulin

I was a Lantus user for a couple fo years which did give me very good control of my blood sugars. But it never gave me any room to lose weight. I only have about 20lbs to lose but found with the Lantus is was very hard.

Then my diabetic nurse recommended Levemir. I have to inject twice a day and use slightly more than I did with the Lantus but I am now doing very well with weight loss. It doesnt make me lose weight - just gives me control back of it.

Anyone else tried Levemir for this reason?
 
I was on levemir for the same reason, but I became allergic to it very quickly and had to be put back on lantus, now the same old vicious cycle has returned. my bloods are very good so I guess that is what really matters at the moment, I'll have to live with the few extra pounds. HOPE you find it is better for you.
 
i guess we are all different as since on lantus ive lost loads of weight and still losing(im hoping it stays as it is now)
