I get the sensor lifting away from the tape before the tape lifts with the sensor too.. (when I pull it.)
I tend to get a nail under the tape edge & rip the 2 back together?
But I guess we all have our own technique..
always try to get fingernail underneath slightly to take off together thanks though. Have also tried slipping a butter knife below (non sharp) can't get that under properly either as of late

lol, my wife would wince if she saw me using a knife..
For me if it looks like the sensor is leaving the tape behind. I get at it from apposite side? Then ry lifting them both…
Usually, I can just rip them off without looking under a long sleeve with access under the front reaching to the arm.
Just have to double check which arm has the spent sensor first..

have tried one side then the other other not both at once at once. still not great with inserting them (nor removing it appears). wonder what your wife would of made when i cut self rather than allowing the nurse to fingerprick whilst in a&e she was not amused to say the least.
regards sensor i now mark the one to remove with a X using a perm marker alongside add a note in libre app. (due to inserting night prior) to prevent a possible mishap
Not had that particular problem but did have a sensor a few years ago where the needle that pushes the filament in didn’t retract and was in my arm it smarted a bit but as my daughter said “ man up “ lol I did report it to Abbott and sent them the guilty party, luckily no reoccurrences since
After a physio session last week I noticed I had a sensor on both arms. Physio hadn't said anything either.
This was 4 days after having my current sensor activated.
Bit difficult to see the back of my arm to check for the X...
I pre insert as well, and always scan the sensor before removing to double check I'm removing the correct one.
Also, this is me for 3 days after a sensor change:
