Thank you for that! That's my evening viewing sorted before Call the midwife...Hi,
I saw this video a good while back that may give you an idea of alternative sites whilst you recover from your surgery?
Hope this helps & best wishes with your surgery procedure..
I have to admit I haven’t tried my Libre on any of these sites.Thank you for that! That's my evening viewing sorted before Call the midwife...
I have to admit I haven’t tried my Libre on any of these sites.
But I do use alternate inner arms to avoid the “door jam knocks” with no discrepancy from the meter issues?
I appreciate that’s not what you’re looking for in relation to your shoulder surgery challenge.
Thinking about it. If I were in a similar position? I’d be tempted to try the leg..
My logic is with limited arm movement during recovery it should be easier if the need to scan??
It will be impossibleto scan if I use my other arm, the only otion is to go elsewhere. From the video it looks lower belly or chest might work for me. I also realise that i may be removed for surgery anyway, so will be asking for extra supplies this week. I have an MRI on Sunday after routine change on Thursday, then potentially having it removed Monday for the op itself. I am not to move my am fo two weeks so it could be fun.I have to admit I haven’t tried my Libre on any of these sites.

I presume Abbott will replace the sensor(s) you have to remove, the same as Dexcom did for me when I had an MRI.It will be impossibleto scan if I use my other arm, the only otion is to go elsewhere. I'm not sure how it works, getting through 3 between Thursday and next Monday will take some explaining.I presume Abbott will replace the sensor(s) you have to remove, the same as Dexcom did for me when I had an MRI.
I used top of chest as in the picture a couple of times in the distant past. No problem as far as I remember.Hi there
I am type 2 insulin dependent and using Novorapid only due to intolerances to long acting insulins.
I use Libre 2 sensors but am due to have shoulder surgery next week. This means my right shoulder will be operated on and not able to have a sensor and my left will likely have blood pressure cuff at the same time. I am likely to be unable to use my am to move for some weeks.
Are there alternative sites that are safe and effective to use as a temporary measure?
