Libre 2 Sensor

Hi,

I have recently come across the Libre 2 Sensor and I have sensor ready to go, read up all about it and set everything up and ready and this might sound really silly but I'm so worried about pushing down the sensor onto my arm


Does it hurt?
how hard do you need to push down? I tried to do it but chickened out !

Any advice?
 
Does not hurt at all, needs a firm push to trigger the spring.
You're not pushing the applying needle in yourself, you're only pushing to activate the mechanism.
Don't jump from the sound, it's quite loud, but the sound is the worst of it so you'll be fine!
 
It doesn't hurt.
There is a loud Clunk which is a little disconcerting but will distract you from the tiny pin prick which I feel less than a finger prick.

The Libre data is very insightful remember it has limitations. These are not explained by Abbott but are repeated many times on the forum.
 
Get someone else to apply the first one for you. After that I’m sure you will manage your own. Good luck!
