Libre 2 sensor has given up working and told me to replace with new sensor.
Taken it off and area seems quite bruised is this normal?

Also when I get a replacement do you put it in the exact same place? Sorry I’m new to all this and had quite a request of false hypos and no sleep! Tia

If your arm is bruised, it suggests you hit a blood vessel. It is just like when I inject insulin, I sometimes get a small bruise.

If you have a sensor failure, make sure you report it to Abbott. They usually replace them.

I make sure to alternate the arm I use for my sensor. Constantly injecting in the same area will lead to scar build up. I find i am less likely to get compression lows the further back and higher up on my arm that I apply the sensor. It’s not quite on my shoulder but avoids my bicep muscle.
