Interesting. I'm tempted to try the same. I use the AccuChek Mobile test cassettes and the cost versus Libre sensors isn't dissimilar. I thought that (at present) the issue was less about cost and more about the fact the Libre was not NHS approved? Thanks to all - I can now see the route I've got to follow with my worthless prescription! The CCG have been helpful so far.
For @catapillar - I made a business case of sensors v test strips, added the reduction in HbA1c achieved using Libre sensors and then showed them my prickless finger tips - sold! Well after 3 months and 2 partners meetings!
Will advise how long it takes for account to be set up and sensors delivered.
Do be aware that if you drive the DVLA will not accept the libre or CGM readings instead of finger pokes.I made a business case of sensors v test strips, added the reduction in HbA1c achieved using Libre sensors and then showed them my prickless finger tips - sold!
