Most software manufacturers will have a cut off where any operating system (OS) older than the chosen point will be unsupported.
It is usually not cost effective to support a very small number of users on a platform that is often not supported by the OS vendor.
On Android, I have seen Apps go unsupported on Android 13 but still supported (for now) on Android 14.
Under Windows, there are programmes which still work on XP, Vista, 8.1 and 10 which will be out of support on those OS.
