Licence Renewal - 1 severe hypo overnight. Should i mention it on form?

Hi,

I'm up for my first licence renewal as a Type 1 diabetic. Had a bad hypo in November 2015 and partner called ambulance as i wasn't responding to him when he called my name.

I would call this a severe hypo that needed assistance from another person. However i hadn't driven either the day before or the day after the hypo.

If i select that i had a severe hypo on the DVLA renewal form will my licence be revoked?

Or am i also screwed if i don't admit to it as it will be on my medical records?

Any help appreciated!

If you read the for 3c say's
Have you had more than one episode of severe hypoglycaemia Yes No

(requiring assistance from another person) in the last 12 months?

So as you have only had 1 then you know the answer

As you have not had more than 1 then you need to tick no, so obviously it wont affect your licence.

Obviously if you have another one needing assistance before the 12 months are up from the last one then you have to by law inform the dvla and yes your licence will be revoked. If you don't tell them if a 2nd one happens then your ins and licence is not valid.
