I've not seen the diet doc yet. Desmond has been mentioned a few times by my gp/nurse but they haven't sent me on it yet and I'm not pushing it as I'm not sure how useful it will actually be.

Good news about the meter and the certificate. I have uploaded the website plus discount code where I get my SD code strips in case you haven't got it. Seriously, have a look at diet doc! Totally awesome and the other one is authority nutrition. All the science is there! I asked for the science behind the healthy plate but no one could provide any. Stands to reason that if you're on meds to reduce bs, then eating stuff which raises it, doesn't make sense! I avoid all starchy carbs and eat green veggies. Obviously they contain carbs but just a minimum. I eat cheese and nuts as snacks. Your overall cholestrol will probably go up but the important bits are the trigs (mine are 0.51) and HDL (1.4 at mo') .
