Hey everybody! I was thinking about a logo of the disease, which shows that I'm NOT like the others and make a tattoo. I want it to be a worldwide symbol. A few days ago I watched an amazing video clips. And I think the tattoo in that clip is a good one. So guys what do you think about it??? (not a native speaker. Sorry for the mistakes )

Hi For Info the International Symbol for Diabetes is a Blue Circe
 
Rand, I know but it's not appropriate for the tattoo
 
@Ilya83 There is many tattoos that have been already used eg;
It may not be appropriate, yet it is still a message.
I prefer a tattoo to be a symbol of love and art etc; and not to say I am different.
The video is very good yet I don't get the connection why a tattoo.

I must be fair when I first heard that the blue circle was the Diabetes symbol, I just thought the circle was a cement. thing.
 

I think if you want to show that you are not like everyone else, then you should design your own and not just copy someone else's artwork from a pop video.
 
well I ment "WE ARE" but just a blue circle looks like cement Izzzis tattoo looks awesome but I don't want to put the text like "DIABETIC". I want it be just a symbol and everyone who knows about the DIA could recognize me.

Personally I'm not going to bother with a tattoo.
I've designed a hat I can wear to alert people to my condition.
The hat is a cone shape and has a large letter 'D' on the front. Should clear things right up.

Blue Circle Industries, is quite a large company which uses the blue circle as a trade mark, hence the confusion.
@llya83 I think @Avocado Sevenfold is correct in saying you should design your own tattoo.

Try designing your own characteristic symbol .
Possibly incorporate the light blue colour into it .

As it is the worldwide internationally the diabetes colour .
Any other colour would not get recognised or connected
up to diabetes I feel and think .

I designed my own ' Diabetic ' tattoo - and had 7 tiny star bursts
done around the word .
Colour inside the star burst , is an illuminous pale blue .
This ultimately represents the colour of diabetes .

All the medics who have seen it - and say its a great idea
and is very alert word referenced and design appropriate

Some of the Olympic athletes have the olympic rings
tattooed onto their arms and bodies .
Tom whats his name? the diver for UK has this plus the
gymnastics fella too .
We all know and recognise what the Olympic rings intertwined symbolises .

Think similar with your diabetes in mind perhaps ?
Blood cell logo - is representative of Diabetes.co.uk forum .
 
A blue hummingbird cool
Looks great I think .

It used to be a pink hummingbird Diabetes UK .
Until the agreement of the international worldwide diabetes
colour was to be made light blue everywhere .

What do you think/feel Ilya83 ?
