lolzcats!

Aw they are all gorgeous! I love the one of Sylvester doing that black-and-white-cat thing of rolling over for a tummy tickle! Does he have your hand off if you do? :lol:

Yes I used to have one just like your Bob, she and her daughter adopted me. They used to be farm cats which the landlord and landlady brought with them when they bought the house (complete with tenants).

hehe not mine, he's very soppy with me, anyone else....he's a miserable, spiteful little mare lol He hates other animals, not that keen on other ppl and he HATES children for some reason!!
 
To all cat lovers
there is a brilliant site called - stuff on my cat. i cannot find the link.
I have 3 beautiful tabby cats to slave about after. Sadly I lost my princess in November o8 to kidney failure. We had 15 wonderful years with her.

I agree with Calicobec though, would not have more than two in future. 4 was hard work and expensive

Life without cats -I dont think so.
 
May I just say, please, please, please don't feed any cat unless it's your own.

My lovely Tom Tom died as a result of being fed by neighbours who thought they were helping him. Consequently, I was unable to pick up on a medical problem because he rarely came home; he had no need to. Noone else took responsibility and I found him dead, wasted and thin. He could have had diabetes or any other disease that required a specialist diet.

I'm pretty sure no cat can get in here to eat our food with our cats lol I get your point though, but sometimes it's a bit difficult, my mum has a cat that keeps coming in and she has tried to get him to stay out but he won't! He just walks in the cat flap, eats the food and then goes to sleep somewhere!
 
Just wondering if any cat owners have cats with unusual eating habits. Remembering both my cats were hand reared from 3wks of age and are brother and sister. Naturally Splodge the tom cat is much bigger than his sister and he eats any cat food going along with any treats or scraps that take his fancy. Sheba on the other hand is a chocoholic and loves human grub and constantly turns her nose up at cat food, and is a thin as a rake and very fussy.
Found her darting across the floor lasts night carrying what i thought was a kinder egg wrapper, but it still had half an egg in it! much to her delight. When the micro wave dings when hubby's making frosties and hot milk (men!) she's straight out there waiting for her share. I'm sure her diets not healthy, but she refuses to eat cat food/biccies, and rather than see her starve i give into her. I'm definately owned by my cats.

i'm sure she'd eat cat food eventually Mine started to get fussy but I can't afford with 4 of them for any of that so either they ate it or went hungry, there is very few cat foods they wont' eat now lol The only one they wil not eat no matter how long i try to feed them it is tesco's cat food! They ate lidl cat food and was fine, but tesco (not tesco value, just normal tesco) they won't touch, bit dodgy methinks! Mostly they have whiskers though.

Odd eating habits...hmmm well my fat cat will eat most things if he has seen you eat it first, toffee doesn't eat chunks of meat (like chicken etc) unless i feed it to him by hand, minky used to eat banana's when she was a kitten but not any more and tabatha loves cat biscuits, the other cats willt ake them or leave them but she begs for them and rarely eats the 'wet' food.
 


Hi Suzi not sure about cats but chocolate can be poisonous to dogs!!Might be worth checking that out.
My old lady ate dry biscuits and water from kittenhood up till a year ago,now she will only eat meat and cat milk.I have to puree the meat before she eats it and she will only eat if I stand with her.She's 16 and probably getting dementia,even her 'voice' has changed, much to the amusement of my kids who say she sounds almost human as she is a lot more vocal than she used to be.
 
When we first moved here we were greeted by a cat that looked like Calico Bec's avatar. It made Maine Coons look small. It invited itself in through the lounge door, befriended us, barged into the furniture with such force that it was actually moving it around, and demanded I give it a full tour of the house, including naturally opening all doors and cupboards for inspection.

Eventually it arrived at the front door and rather surprised to find itself locked out on the street.

Apparently it used to live up the road and when its' owner died it was taken in by someone down the road.

Now the houses here are fronting onto a lane but backing onto fields with low fences and hedges between the gardens and garages and higher fences in between them, so it's relatively easy to go up and down but less so to go back to front.

So the next time it came visiting I didn't think I'd get away with the front door trick but it succeeded again.

Next time it came straight in the back, marched straight through to the front and demanded I let it out. That was when I twigged it was using us as a shortcut . . .
 
Two church members were going door to door, and knocked on the door of a woman who was not happy to see them. She told them in no uncertain terms that she did not want to hear their message and slammed the door in their faces. To her surprise, however, the door did not close and, in fact, bounced back open. She tried again, really put her back into it, and slammed the door again with the same result-the door bounced back open.

Convinced these rude young people were sticking their foot in the door, she reared back to give it a slam that would teach them a lesson, when one of them said, "Ma'am, before you do that again, you need to move your cat."

Got my flak jacket on.
