Thank you for you reply , it's strange because I don't mind doing the injections , I mind going on the pump . I have managed to get good control on the injections for a long while now . There just something about it , I feel isn't for me . I think I've already made my decision and will be staying put ,I've been on an insulin pump since November 2012 and never had any issues with infections, scarring or DKA. Being on the pump is the best thing I've done as it has helped me control my T1 much better and not having to inject 4 times a day was the decision maker for me. No issues with using the pump at all. Hope you decide to try it anyway. It's great!
I have been to my pre conception clinic today , and got the go ahead to start trying but before I do.
I got the option to go onto a pump for this period of time . I've read the good reviews , and just come across about you could get infections scaring and dkaWhat about existing scaring ?
For people on the pump have you ever come across any of these problems , and do you find it beneficial . I got told I wouldn't qualify for the pump after pregnancy .
But just wanted to know others views who are in the pump . Before I make my decision .
Thankyou
For your viewing pleasure.
The pumps not for everyone, but this covers why it's considered great by some for health and social situations.
