Get outside and walk.. far better than a treadmill and you get some fresh air too..

Edit to add ...depending on where you live I guess...

I hate walking outside haha... I love my music playing loud indoors so thought I'd get a treadmill with an incline to get the fat burning.

It must be water retention, as today I am back to normal.
Good news! A quick little test is to press against your shin with a finger for about 5 - 10 seconds, then let go. The bigger the indent the more water retention.

I turned 48 over Christmas but went into perimenopause at 42. I actually had no idea that 1) being a woman; and 2) hormones/menopause affected weight loss until I Googled why I wasn't losing weight.

As I said I lost nothing for two months but my blood results were normalizing nicely. By my three-months-after-diagnosis checkup my A1C had reduced from 11.8% to 6.1%. My high blood pressure was gone. My fatty liver was gone. Yet I'd only lost about eight pounds.

I'm now down 30 pounds. It's taken six months and there are lots of other people who lost 30 pounds in three months ... but I did it! Just keep going. I know it sucks! But time will pass. I still have 30 pounds to go ... but even if I lose nothing more no one can take the first 30 pounds or my improved health away from me!

My son said “I’m trusting the science” in low carb healthy fat & Intermittent fasting.

Weight loss stall ignored for months.

Suddenly ...

Our bodies retain & release fluid daily and our weight can fluctuate + or - 4 lbs.

You’re doing great. Keep up the good work.

Maybe stay off the scale ?

I m on hflc since last 6 months , being a girl your menstrual periods can effect your weight alot like seriously after ovulation I started gaining weight no matter what I do and just after period all of a sudden weight started dropping , check your cycle and keep that in your mind too some girls can gain upto 3 to 4 kgs before periods due to fluid retention

My problem is as I'm on the mini pill I have no idea of cycles, I haven't had a period in years (sorry for tmi for you men). But could be about now as been very low and tearful last 2 days, with a horrendous headache.

Just have to agree with everyone else.
Having recently finished losing weight through a lchf\keto diet of about 500 cals where I lost just over 4 stone. I have now shifted into trying to maintain the gain with the same diet just burning a bit more dietry fat than my own for a change.
During the weight loss phase my weight did all the odd things that others report. It would go up, it would stick like an extremely sticky thing, it would then drop by two pounds, which feels much better except that isn't really a true reflection either. After one particularly long stick, and for no obvious reason, I tried on some previously tight trousers and they fitted, so the fat had gone but not the weight. Shrug, shakes head, carries on.
One slightly weird observation was that some bits of fat were very hard and unyielding, particularly around my stomach, and that before any of that would disappear, as it eventually did, it would sort of liquefy first, go wobbly and then go but whilst it was going from hard to wobbly my weight loss would stall.
As a bit of a data twonk (old school pencil and ruler type) I kept the data and drew graphs and these show that none of the blips had any effect on the longer term rate of weight loss which stayed the same throughout, it averaged out very neatly. I added another graph showing each days weight as an average of the previous 6 days and the bumps disappeared completely. This observation was only available in retrospect but it was extremely heartening to see the pattern emerge and depower some of the daily highs and lows on the scales as I went through.
Glad its all happening again for you.
