I have been low carbing since diagnosis (type 2) have got my BG at a reasonable level now and have lost 2 stone in weight.
Heres the rub - I have an artificial left leg, the result of an RTA in 1953.
The leg means that, now I am at my target weight, I should maintain it - how can I stop losing weight but stay on my Low Carb diet ? :?
if your low carbing is helping you reduce your blood sugars then continue as you are. I seem to have peeked out at 13 stone with my low carb diet and find it difficult to go any lower. My body seems to have found the level it wants to be after losing 2 1/2 stone.
In order to keep your bloods low you will have to continue the low carbs, a pain, i know. i feel ime on a diet for life.
I had a problem in starting to lose too much weight. I arrested it by eating loads of nuts. Still do. Walnuts usually. Low carb, low GI but loads of protein. Hard boiled eggs as snacks are good too. So snack up on low carb stuff.
