Hi
@Browning , I've used the Freestyle Libre for 7 years, and have had diabetes for 7 and a half years.
I started lowish carb pretty much right away after my (initially T2) diagnosis.
It was only two years later that I was rediagnosed as a T1 and moved from being treated by a practice nurse to a 'diabetes team'.
The diabetes nurse in the team can get a bit panicky with my normal hba1c, but my endo is perfectly fine with it.
In my country, a letter is sent to the GP after every specialist visit and patients can see the letter online. A couple of years ago the endo remarked in this letter that my lipids levels had gone from bad to perfect on a LCHF diet and added 3 exclamation marks so she must be happy with it.
The letter also states every year that my hbac1 is fine being this low because it isn't the result of many lows but of stable BG.
So it looks like my endo is perfectly fine with my chosen way of eating.
