Brilliant and thanks @NoCrbs4Me a man of few words. I think but I'm not sure that you see food as fuel and nothing more. Is that right?Meat.

I may have, sort of, invented summat that was a big hit in our house. Cottage pie with a twist.
Spicy minced beef topped off with cheesy celeriac mash. Roughly half and half mashed celeriac and grated strong cheddar. It was so filling. No idea if it freezes as it all disappeared down the throats of hungry XL sons, mebbe next time!
Another option if you can stand a few carbs is adding half a bag of carrot and swede aunt bessies's mix to the top.
I love a small portion with a load of broccoli
Sorry for the delay.Do you have a link to a recipe for the soup, sounds delish. TIA.
Sorry for the delay.
A method more than a recipe.
If it is quick, broccoli cut up into bits, stem cut into small bits, steamed in some water till soft(ish).
Whole lot put in a blender and whizzed.
Spinach, fresh, needs to be washed.... it is filthy.
Lid off blender and add spinach bit bit bit.
Once all added back into pot.
Stilton, diced and added to pot.
Stirred and warmed slowly.
Salt and pepper to taste.
With more time:
First, sweat some onion and add a small amount of garlic... but do not burn.
how about crustless quiches? x@sarah_chadwick I can imagine the smell and Mr C is lucky you make him special sides
What I'd really like from everyone is lunches made in the oven to get my kitchen warm.
Yep, got oneDo you have any problems with steam in the kitchen ? I have bought a dehumidifier as ours is big and gets steam down the bottom end. After 10 mins it really gets warm air moving around and gets about 2 litres of water collected every day! View attachment 30137
Hello there! I'm a cold beggar and the kitchen is often the warmest room. At the moment I'm making soups on the stove in the stock pot and oven 'omlettes'. Just loads of eggs, with mushrooms, ham or whatever you have lying about. Grease a 12 hole muffin/ bun tray, heat in oven at about 200 degrees til oil v hot. Pour in mixture and about 15 minutes later lots of eggy treats and a warm kitchen. You can freeze them too.Hi all, can you help me and Mr B?
I need some simple ideas for hot lunches, preferably that can be cooked in the oven as the kitchen gets a bit nippy for this southern softie
All warm ideas really appreciated and we eat anything offal too!!
