I have been on the low carb eating plan for about 3-4 weeks now and, as predicted by some, my blood sugars are down and so is my weight (lost over a stone in that time) and I find myself eating less in some cases missing a meal and still not feeling hungry.
A couple of questions that I hope someone can answer,
1 currently eating approx. 50gr carbs or less how long can I stay at that level?
You can stay on 50gm carbs as long as you are eating healthy mix of foods,as you say sometimes you do not feel hungry at all but always remember to eat something to keep your BS level.
2 I eat lots of salad, green veg and some fruit, is there an upper level of fruit that I shouldn't go to, I know bananas are not the best fruit.
When you eat a new fruit test to see the effect it has on your BS levels.Test to see what effect eating fruit has on your levels as well.
and last, when and if I increase the carb level and put on weight again is it ok to go back to the lower levels of carbs
If you increase the amount of carbs then your blood sugar levels will go up again.Controlling the BS is more important than the weight, although reducing weight will also reduce insulin resistance and help control your BS.
