Low possaium levels after dka

Hi I was am minted to hospital Tuesday for possible dka again but lucky this time there was no a(acidtois) I was on a drip all nite to recorrect my levels then I get told I have to take potassium tablets for a while any one else had this

Hello! Yes i had this about a year ago except i actually had very bad dka and was seriously ill, in hospital for about a week and yes i had low potassium too and had the tablets for a couple of days!

When you have DKA it causes you to have low potassium another symptom of low potassium is breathlessness as I have had DKA several times and each time it has been severe and I always feel breathless with it

I've had several really bad DKA, the last one I was in Hospital for a whole month, I have on several of these now had the opposite problem of having very very HIGH Potassium levels, it isn't much fun,
