Lower blood glucose with Labetalol (beta blocker)?

I am pregnant and type 2, and after my last scan, high blood pressure was diagnosed (it may be white coat syndrome, but that's a different can of worms.)

I got Labetalol and since taking it my blood sugars, measured with a Libre 2, have been between 4 and 6. Sometimes it shows lower blood sugars, although I never had hypos, but never over 6. I haven't changed what I eat, so I would expect a large salad or today's dinner with tomatoes to bring the blood glucose towards 7.

My diabetic nurse doesn't have an explanation and I cannot find lower blood glucose as side effect.

Does anyone here have an explanation?

Labetalol can cause lowering of blood sugars. i take Ramparil and that has a similar effect, but Labetalol apparently only lasts for a short time, as the body gets used to it.
As a type 2 and diet controlled, Hypos should be all but impossible. Your Liver will come to the rescue, as it is intended to do. Without blood sugar lowering medication, your system has a level it is happy with, before kicking in the sugar dump, this could be lower than the Libre likes.
