In today's news I read that the sugar content of Lucozade is to be reduced by 50% over the next year or two. There are a number of Type 1 diabetics concerned about this news, I know I am as I find Lucozade to be the quickest way of bringing me out of a hypo. For years I had been using dextrozol sweets but after my STILE course, where they recommended the glucose drink, I found Lucozade so much easier to consume. Anyone using this drink for this purpose needs to be aware of the glucose reduction otherwise they may be in for a shock.

I know!! Totally gutted at this news,i rely heavily on lucozade to bring me out of a hypo.Always have done. Its what works best for me and many others im sure.

This was always going to happen once the sugar tax was announced, suppose a way round the 50% less glucose is to drink twice the quantity when treating a hypo.

A few months back I bought some GlucoJuice from Amazon @Dodo , each 60ml bottle has 15g of fast-acting glucose and taste wise it's fine.
