Lump on my leg

Hello all, I have had a lump just above my knee the size of half a pea I suppose. I have had it for a few months I have seen my gp a couple of months ago who said it could be the result of a bite but I don't recall being bitten. It has now started to hurt and makes mu knee ache. Has anyone else had any similar problems? :roll:

Hi William. This sounds like something you really need to have looked at again. If it were me I'd be back to my gp for a proper answer

I have something similar on the side of my upper thigh, I have had it for at least 10 years!! I too went to my GP and was told it was a bite but it has never gone away. It gets bigger sometimes almost like it is filling up (yuck) but unlike yours it gives me no pain at all. I did try lancing it once but it just bled then came back

Found this on another site

About 18 months ago, I got an insect bite on my leg. It didn't go down and I still have it. It is a raised lump that looks like there is blood quite near the surface. When you press or rub it, it goes lighter. I consulted my doctor and she said that my body had not dispersed the bite and had kind of built a cell around it. She said that it would not go down and would probably just get darker in colour.
