Has anyone tried this ? I think it’s safe as it’s basically the root of a vegetable. It is reported to be good for glucose regulation although obviously that’s just internet reports. It’s reported as a great general tonic. Bought some today and tried it with coconut milk and tbh it’s pretty gross to taste. Might just stick with the Yerba Mate tea.
I have tried adding it to hot chocolate (keto version) as I heard it would be good for menopausal symptoms. Didn't really feel a difference, and the taste of the drink was rather more earthy. Not sure about glucose regulation as it's a tuber, therefore rather carb-rich (I only used 1 teaspoon at a time).
