I'm sure I read somewhere that frozen or chilled and then reheated mash has a lower carb count than 'fresh' mash. Is this correct? Seems too good to be true!

If only @AnniB ,

There is a theory that some carbohydrate rich foods (pasta, potato and rice for example) exhibit a lower glycemic index when reheated.

So the same amount of carbs, but they don't turn into glucose quite so fast in the body and therefore reduce any resulting glucose spike. (You might stay high for longer.)

Test yourself before and after or you will not find out if it works for YOU.

Thank you, I was sure it could not be right!

It works for me for mash but not pasta or rice - I have a tablespoon of mash now and then like this - but it doesn't work for everyone - it's all about trial and error and test test test!
