Haha exactly !! I was aiming for pregnancy targets and I was achieving them , then she said I was doing it wrong , because when you become pregnant first trimester you will experience lower readings , it's because the baby takes your sugar , so if your already aiming that low it's a danger to you as you will constant hypo . Which I totally understand . But the readings your allowed now that are higher than pregnancy , I wouldn't want to be them for 2 -3'weeks of not knowing as would be classed as high lol !!Good question Cloe! Why can't you just aim for the 'pregnant' targets before you actually conceive? Did she give you a reason? I don't see why you couldn't just aim for that now, although I have no children or experience with pregnancy so don't take my word for it haha xx

Thank you for your reply , I fount your info very helpful . Especially as you went high .Hi Cloe, your DSN may be right In that your sugars may drop in the first trimester but actually a lot of people including myself find in the first couple of weeks they go high. In fact this was one of the first symptoms I had that made me wonder if I could be pregnant before I could even test. I would most def aim for the pregnancy targets once you start trying, you will know that you could very well be pregnant and I imagine you will constantly be checking your sugars so if you find you start going low you can adjust your insulin.
We are trying now and I am aiming for pregnancy targets, I feel the lower they can be around the time of conception the better. It also gets you into the habit now x
