Calligraphy and typography can look stunning but it's pretty difficult to do.. Something I will need to practice. I much prefer the thicker body of your font to mine actually..

Just got my tattoo done today! (Hope the picture has come out okay!) This was taken just after it was finished. The shading will fade to more of a grey.

How unique and great this looks - never seen one like this before .

Are you happy and pleased with it too ?
It really is VERY nice

How did your blood sugars go whilst having it done ?
What aftercare have you been advised to use and do ?

Thanks Anna . I'm chuffed with it! Already had people complimenting it & enquiring into diabetes when I've been out & about.

I designed it myself, started off kind of simple & I evolved it from there, incorporating what I want into the symbol. I am going to get the date I was diagnosed added to it on the anniversary this year. Not 100% how or where abouts on it that I want it though!

My sugars stayed stable throughout really, it only took about an hour, but had plenty of time to relax with the artist before.

I kept it wrapped till this morning & am now working my way through a tube or bepanthen as recommended on here . The tattooist asked me to stop by in a couple weeks to see how it's doing, & of there are any touch ups. I'd defiantly recommend the place if anyone is nearby to Peterborough! It's my first tattoo & went really well

Hi All .

Had some 'star burst's' added around my Diabetic tattoo this afternoon .
With an illunimous pale blue star centre - to represent World Diabetes .
They look really pretty and add to the plain "Diabetic" word soooo nicely .
[it kind of looked lonely/plain just as a word on its own ]
I love them actually - just don't like the PAIN factor of having them done !
Cor blimey it really burns when having any tattoo's done with me .

Everyone in the shop was laughing at me sweating and cringing away !
Had forgotten what it felt like the last time I think - looking back .
Think it 'didnt' hurt as much last time - don't know how or why ?
They said I would be NO good at a long session - I totally agreed 1,000%
I will NOT be ever having anymore done - much TOO painful for 'me'

Have to go back - in 3-4days to let them check it .
Will keep wash n pat it dry gently - then cover it in bepanthen nappy cream .
They have offered to redo any bits needed - no extra cost!
[hope it wont need this - as will be the burn AGAIN ] :eh:
Had just 6 'small' star bursts added - cost just £20 so was chuffed .

All done now - am really happy and so pleased with it .
It has needed that bit of something 'extra' adding in for a while .

How 'do' you sit through a long tattoo session and NOT feel the burn ?

Know how you feel I've had four tatts up to now would love more but my last one was nearly £200 so hubby says no lol my last one was my best by far the lad was a true artist and hand sketched the whole thing true artist
Worth the pain

Lol my last tatt was number 4 and took the longest it isn't huge but its definately not small
It's a design to cover another tatt I had in my youth but was hand drawn and took a long time but sooooooo worth it

I have the medical symbol on the top of my back don't have any diabetic info on it though as i thought no one would really pay any attention to it. Thought about getting something added to it to say I'm type 1 but seein as i have a few other tattoos already and probably goin to end up with both arms in sleeves would it be a waste?? My assumption is that it would just ho unnoticed as another tattoo...whats everyones thoughts?

Sorry if its been covered in the last pages but couldn't go through 20pages on my mobile lol :lol:

Hi, I had mine done today, it's not my first ink but was by far the least painful. Attaching a picture. Simple and to the point. On my left forearm btw.
