I forgot to ask earlier as I’m choosing to “skip” breakfast and go for 2 solid meals a day what effects will taking my glaucophage/gliclazide will have on an empty stomach in a morning? (I’m drinking black coffee) in my old routine it was crunchy nut cornflakes which I know are a diabetics death sentence.

HI @Type-2-Havent-A-Clue, Gliclazide can cause low blood sugars. I would suggest you check with your DSN or doctor about timing of it with meals. Taking the combo G/G on an empty stomach might be risky.

I would not recommend taking Gliclazide on a empty stomach.

Why not take it with your first meal of the day and call that breakfast? I often have my breakfast around 2pm.
