I’m well controlled on low carbs and small amount of insulin (aging pancreas) and usually around 98% in range. Self fund Dexcom1+. Long time sufferer of diverticulitis although much better on low carbs. Fibre is not my friend and despite drinking loads of fluids constipation was problematic.
I found magnesium glycinate supplements helped but also medjool dates, around 3 spread over the day with liquid…black coffee, green tea and water too.
Yes they’re heavy carbs/sugar, partially offset by the fibre content, but helpfully do not spike my levels plus have not triggered any diverticular flare ups.
This might not work for everyone but just setting it out there in case it’s helpful.
