Is it possible for manufacturers meds "Metformin" to be different from each other? Because I have noticed that when I take a different brand of Metformin my bloods are very high with one brand and low "normal" ish with another, I eat like I normally do, haven't changed my diet ect, as anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Im with you on this one,theyre not supposed to be but i find this with a few of my generic meds

My doctor/nurse said that there is no difference either, but it's not them watching blood levels like we do. Thanks totsy thought it was just me

I take the slow release Metformin, and i have found i can't take the glucophage brand as it makes me feel like throwing up all the time, I'm fine with the others. Not noticed a difference with BG though.

im also on a thyroid group and loads of us find certain brands not right, i also have butrans patches and one brand works so much better than the others
