Salad cream, yuk yuk yuk. microwave ovens, they remove the art of cooking. Not being in control of my actions or errors Rather a perfectionist i'm afraid I like things right
Relating to my bad day comment I did a test this morning (fasting) and I got roughly the same reading 6.5 . how reliable are meters. I did a solution test a few weeks ago
At the moment I use a Bayer contour next usb .

Hi
The generally accepted variation of meters is about 15%.
I usually try and test my meter at the same time as having a blood glucose fasting blood test, and I then know how "Real" the meter reading is.
Generally meter tests are done to get an indication of Blood Glucose levels, and will never be 100 percent accurate.
The HbA1c test that is normally done is the most accurate Blood test, as it gives a average Blood sugar over the last about 120 days

Thanks for that Rand . Have a good one.
