There are some links, can't remember what they are though! Helpful eh? But I'm sure someone will provide them soon. Meantime, I have to tell you that I saw a professor who lectures doctors on Diabetes to ask relevant questions. I asked about Met and Alcohol, saying I'd heard you can't drink while on Met. His answwer was "Rubbish!", with no qualification on amount. So although I don't take Met, I wouldn't be too concerned. You can always get a bag of chips if you have a heavy session! Double benefit! There will be better, more informed answers to this coming I'm sure!
Cheers!

A quick google has given rates from 1-15 cases per 100,000 person years. Suffice to say it's fairly rare. One article I skimmed seemed to suggest that metformin couldn't actually be proven to increase the likelihood.

You may need a subscription to the journal and thus might not be able to access it - sorry if that's the case.
