I have been on Metform XR for about 7 years, no issues for a long time until medication
was increased to 3x500. Gradually I began have intermittent bouts of diarreah. Medication
reduced to 2x500 and everything ok for about a month. Then diarrhea again. A recent blood test showed
by Blood Sugar levels had risen. Just collected a prescription for Alogliptin to take alongside the
Metformin. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get on with the Alogliptin.
