I was diagnosed in May 2010 and Metformin was my first type 2 drug. I am now on max dose Metformin and Gliclazide , Sitagliptin . Over the past 9 months my Glucose levels have risen and my B12 was low. I am on a 3 monthly inection routine of B12.. My diabetic team has halved my Gliclazide input and I me now on Insulin jabs. My blood results show a decline in eGFR ( a decline in kidney function), The Renal Consultant has advised I have a US Scan on my abdomen as it could due to the Metformin. Does anyone have the same diagnoses ?
