I'm a Type 1, been on insulin for 15 years. I have just been prescribed Metformin to help lower my insulin resistance, which has got really bad over the years.
My nurse has lowered my doses drastically and doesn't want to increase them until the Metformin kicks in. She said this will take two weeks, but other people have said 10. I don't think I can cope with high blood sugars for another 10 weeks
I thought this was the best sub-forum to ask about experiences with Metformin, and how long it was before it had a noticeable effect on blood sugars?
