Oh yeah, Let me see, yes had one tablet of Glucophage, very ill had sickness and diarhea. They stopped THAT. Some 10 years later, a "clever" doctor thought "argh yes we will try him on this he will not know".
Yeah good, within 20 minutes doubled in pain, eventually had morphine, had second, now could not see, could not read eyes totally out of focus, muscles stiff.
Had third, now almost out of it, could not move heart not normal, still on morphine severe cramps, now not eating. Anyway had trouble holding the knife and fork. Managed to sit on bed edge and attract a nurse attention.
The quack had given me Stagid! Another Metformin! I could not think clearly nor balance properly for a month, ride my motor bike for 6 weeks, watch meaningful TV or read for over a week. (PLEASE Metformin manufacturers PLEASE Come and test me)
Again, one size does NOT fit all.
Incidentally, I got clickey middle finger and a stiff left shoulder. Started 2-3 years ago on high levels of B12 and the problem disappeared. Got a friend, also diabetic on insulin to try it (Marmite does, have 2 teaspoonfuls with every meal) He started on the Friday and Monday he poured me a whiskey with his left hand! My French doctor said it was bxxxxxxs however, she sent a client who she thought I did not know for tests. He had the same insulin, was categorized as a dementia patient, had stiff fingers etc.
He was very low on the "b's". They started him on the B12 and his dementia improved, and the pains went, IN DAYS.
Now I see that the UK (on TV this week) are starting to accept it 2-3 years after I started on it, 18 months after our French doctor now sort of accepts it.
