Hi
My name is Jacqueline Blair and I'm new to this site.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes @ yr ago. Put on metformin last September and have been so unwell since: problems with skin, stomach, bowel, joint and heart irregularities. Been to all the specialists including the diabetic specialist nurse but no one putting the dots together until (in despair) I decided to come off the metformin - all the symptoms settled down. Have been put on metformin slow release, and the symptoms all starting up again three weeks down the line. Has anyone else had a negative experience on this medication.
