Hi everyone,

I’m so happy. I’ve recently been approved for the Freestyle Libre and I’m amazed at how easy it was. I just did a survey about the distress diabetes is causing me and I instantly qualified. But I’m surprised at how much bureaucracy there is, you have to sign a contract with a list of agreements such as improvement in blood sugar and checking minimum 8 times a day and you have to do this boring Libre academy course and get a certificate.

Anyways I digress! Which transmitter is better to convert FGM to CGM? I’m going to connect it through an iPhone 11 then to a Fitbit Versa 2.

Any suggestions for the app used? I need to be able to do calibrations which is a big thing as the Libre tends to go bonkers sometimes

I only have experience of Miaomiao 2.
It has been good but ...
- support is not good. If you go ahead with it, I recommend buying from the .eu website rather than the .cool (Chinese-based) website.
- battery life is much shorter with Miaomiao 2 than Miaomiao 1. Even from the start, it didn’t last the life of a single Libre sensor. After a year and of use every day, the Miaomiao 2 battery last 3 days.

In hindsight, I would buy Miaomiao 1.

On the other hand, I eagerly await Libre 2. The Android version of the LibreLink app can be patched so not to need a separate transmitter (Miaomiao or Bubble). This is the reason I have not replaced my Miaomiao 2 as I no longer believe it is worth the investment.

I have been using the libre with xdrip miao miao 2 and a smartwatch for the last year, it is certainly better than just the libre but I still found the libre not to be very accurate some of the time, so I am about to change to enlite 2 sensers as I have the 640g insulin pump, I did use the enlite 1 with a veo pump some 8 years ago which I found to be very good just too expensive to self fund, I had a very bad fall when the libre said I was ok but in fact I had a very low blood suger, not saying everybody has bad readings with the libre but I did
