Mini aspirin & bloodshot eye

I’ve had T1 since I was 12 (38 yrs ago) & had severe laser treatment for advanced retinopathy about 20 yrs ago. I’m on daily aspirin to thin my blood but get a bloodshot right eye regularly. Not sure if this is common in diabetics or if it’s connected to the aspirin. My consultant says it’s possible & it’s nothing to worry about but just wondering if anyone else on here experiences this or has had eye problems because of diabetes.

I've experienced that with rapidly changing blood glucose levels, shooting up high quickly, but that is the only time it can happen with me. It does clear up, the blood, but takes 5 days to completely fade away.
