Hi hun, Sorry to hear that you are finding things difficult, I struggled for years in a totally different way: thinking well if my friends can eat whatever, whenever they want, I can too, and I was injecting shed loads of insulin to cover all the **** I was eating, even though I knew, deep down, that what I was doing was wrong & that one day it would catch up with me in the form of all the horrible complications we all know we could get in the future. Thankfully, nothing bad happened to me but I know how lucky I was!
One day, I just woke up and thought right that's it no more! But I did need support & advice from my care team to sort it all out.
With the weight gain, I would suggest, as others have already, the carb counting as the less carbs you eat, the less insulin you need...
With the "laziness", have you thought about asking to have a pump instead? Ive never used the pump myself, but I think (please correct me if Im wrong) you just adjust your doses with a click of a button so no hassle that comes with the insulin injections...
Good luck, I really hope you get sorted xx
