I was given a moniter by a friend who has two but it doesnt appear to be working, I discovered that strips are out of date, could this be the reason?

If the strips are out of date an error message usually appears on the monitor. Can you switch it on? If nothing happens the battery may be flat.

Which meter is it?

@Ambersilva its an Accu check the time comes on when i turn the machine on perhaps I'll get a new battery and try it thank you

Which accu-chek? If the time comes on the batteries are probably Ok.Are you inserting the strip correctly?

Yes it was cheaper to buy a new monitor at dizzy than get the strips thank you
