My 8 yr old daughter has recently been diagnosed with type1 diabetes ' she has only had it 3 months and it was found very early so her bloods are now quite stable , however she has changed and is very short tempered moody tearful , she is on lanctus and novo rapid ? Could this be the insulin?

Hi bella im 31 and I have exactly the same mood swings. Im on the same insulin too. My gp told me I will have mood swings as my body is getting use to the changes and because our bg levels can change really fast so can our moods I know shes only 8 but learning how to deal with diabetes is really difficult and she may be going through the why me phase. Xx

Hi I'm 37 and was diagnosed with type 1 six years ago. I still suffer from bad mood swings with my bloods changing. I'm lucky as I have an understanding wife. I was told they would get better which they have in a way as they are not as often but I still get them but I can tell when there going to happen and people round me can spot the signs so they can give me a wide berth.
