Hey there!
You see, I'm moving to the United Kingdom next August and I'll be working as an Au-Pair (I will have a contract but not an usual one, I won't pay contributions). I was wondering ir somebody could tell me how does the health system work here...
As I'm not British (I'm Spanish) I want to know if I have to pay for a private health insurance or I can use the public healthcare (I guess not) and if I'll get my medication (almost) covered as I have here even if I pay for a private healt insurance. Here in Spain, I can't apply for any health insurance because of my disease, can I apply here in the UK?
Thank you all very much!
PS: I'm sorry if there's any mistake in the spelling/grammar/vocabulary, I'm still learning English!!!

If you are a legal resident, your health care is free and there is no charge. You need to register with a GP and the GP will prescribe for you. If I were you I would take a summary of your treatment from your doctor in Spain (get it translated, your GP probably won't speak medical Spanish). Your rights are here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/h...lth-costs/nhs-charges-for-people-from-abroad/. It's a lot of reading, but it'll be good practice for you.
