This is my first post; I was told I was pre-pre-diabetic a few months ago (Type 2 - I knew I was heading that way as cookie consumption was greater than anyone else I know) and as a member of my family was recently diagnosed Type 1 I thought I would find out as much as I could. I have found this website so useful and so positive, thanks to everyone who posts including sharing the bad times.
I have managed gradually to train myself into low-carb and did lose a bit of weight, my modifications however built up (aka cheating) so I have been doing the Dr Michael Mosley 8-week blood sugardiet for nearly 3 weeks almost painlessly and feeling great and will be able to wear ALL my summer clothes for the first time in a few years! And I hope my GP will be cheered up whenever I am next tested.
But this is a T1 question: I was sent a link to a research project starting clinical trials http://www.multipeptide.co.uk/
I have tried searching on here but could only find one brief thread - has anyone else heard anything about it or got any views?
