my diabetes nurse said change my diet and eat healthily have museli etc for brekkie, so today i took my blood 2 hours after the museli and i was at 8.7........is that classed as healthy then?
at the moment i am diet only and finding it hard to eat stuff and be back down in 2 hours the lowest reading i have had so far was 6.5 after baked beans on toast and some pie...happy days....not
 
try reduceing the portion size and add some nuts or pumkin seeds and sunflower seeds. the fat from the nuts and seeds will slow down absorbtion off the carb into the blood stream. personaly museli is to high in carbs for me. The only cereal i can tolerate is 1 weetabix with nuts and seeds and a tablespoon of flaxseed or 40g of lizis granola packed with the same combination of nuts and seeds. if i take the nuts and seeds away my bgs are to high in the first hour. try and see
