Hi everyone! I've been Type 1 for over 5 years now, and after so long of not really paying attention to it, I thought a great way to raise awareness would be by starting my own blog/website! I'd be really grateful if you could check out my first post which is the story of how I was diagnosed: http://type1talks.com/
Thanks for taking the time to look at it - you can also find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from the website! I hope you can all relate to my post in one way or another.
Alternatively blog for Diabetes UK (http://blogs.diabetes.org.uk/) or JDRF (https://jdrf.org.uk/blog/)?
Not only are you more likely to get readers through a recognised website (here or the charities), it is a way of giving a little back to them.
I have blogged for both and found they allow pretty much full rein over what you write.
Thanks for the replies @Pipp@helensaramay@librarising ! I hadn't looked before at the blogs available on here or the JDRF site so I'll be sure to check them out in the future. I'm setting up my own site partially for my blog but also because I'd like to go into journalism when I'm older, and this would give me control over the whole site.
