hi kylie
been t1 12 years, no real probs, but after a raucous new years eve and wearing some high platforms all night, i had a numb big toe next day, i only worried when it wouldn't come back to life, and spent all of new years day rubbing it and wiggling it, i thought this is it...it must be my diabetes, i can't ever wear high heels again (hardly ever do, just like putting em on every now & again!)
it only came back to life a little bit the day after, was back to normal the day after that. i know there is an explanation (hi heels!), but it was my long recovery that worried me. went to the docs who used a tuning fork, which i felt everywhere he tested it. he said no damage there (neuropathy wise), and not to worry!
is your toe numb all the time? or just at certain times? i know i automatically jumped to a diabetic explanation because it was a foot prob and we get those, don't we!?? do we!??!?!?!??? i dunno....
hope your numb toe isn't causing you too much of a worry, if a podiatrist has seen you & had a look, that's gotta be good
