Today I had a snack around 3.30pm, I then fell asleep at around 4pm. I woke up at 6:30pm and my blood sugar was 6.3. Then an hour later it was 7.6? I hadn’t eaten in 4 hours but as soon as I woke up my glucose levels started going up?! Is this normal? I can’t find any answers online and was hoping someone might be able to explain it? Thanks

I heard that after a nap, no matter what time of day and even a short one, you can experience symptoms of the dawn phenomenon. So maybe that could explain your rise?
