Hiya. I see from your other post you've had to wait a while to get diagnosed and haven't felt too good meanwhile. But you also know things have to change. Don't worry, it's only a matter of habit and many of us who have had to try different sorts of food actually enjoy it now. Plus we feel so much better.I love chocolate and bread lol but understand things have to change xx
Good work, keep going. Grapes are dodgy (sugar bombs) so try berries (straw-, rasp-, blue- etc). Chicken & cheese fine but chuck some green veg in or you'll overdo the protein. It's like riding a bike, you wobble one way, then another, but suddenly you can do it. You CAN do it!Carbs were all I literally ate am gonna find this so hard I've made a start though I had yoghurt for breakfast the Greek one and some grapes.....are grapes ok? I've replaced my sugar in coffee with canderel and I'm planning chicken slices and cheese no bread for lunch can I eat lasagne though or is that really bad? That was tonight's tea haha xx
Excellent job there. Not all of a lasagne is off the menu because minced beef is good. As above, muesli & oats are iffy. Snacks can be handful of mixed nuts, tsp low-carb peanut butter, cheese chunks (Babybel), and have a look on the forum for low-carb cooked goodies you can keep for snacks http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/mug-cake.79534/#post-914371I had chicken cheese rolled up in lettucewill keep the lasagne for tea but have less and a huge side dish of veg smothered in Mayo good job I love Mayo lol and my shop trip tomorrow will be buying berries can I add muesli or oats to the yoghurt and berries? And any suggestions for quick snacks because I am really hungry now I don't have my carbs xx
