"Background" eye issues? Not the end of the world. Slowly surely lowering the A1c. Acclimatise, decompress.
They are just advising you it's on the radar. This can possibly abate with better managment...

Keep pushing to see your HCPs.

Logging your BGs, diet (carb intake wise.) & boluses. (Not to mention the basal.) will help the doc to help you..
As @Mel dCP said, MySugr app is free & a great tool. I use Diaconnect.. Either way there is an app you you that helps track what's going on..

HbA1c results are normally taken as a 3 month average. You may need to wait longer than "4weeks" for the next one.
